That was my first real job. Back in the old school simple days of just hamburgers, cheeseburgers, big macs, quarter pounders and filet o fish. Times have sure changed.

Just an FYI, the Chicken Nuggets are as bad, if not worse for you than a burger. If you're trying to eat healthier, it's best to avoid fried foods.

Me neither, but if it is trivial and utterly unimportant, I never forget.

Double cheese burgers and Big Mac's are amazing but I couldn't tell you the last time I ate there. I get the craps everytime I do - as if that isn't indication enough as to how horrible the food is for you. I don't eat at Mc Donalds because I have self respect.

I like McDonald's. They used to be a lot better 20 years ago, but they are still pretty good. I did have a couple of years that I avoided eating there due to getting food poisoning from a Big Mac.

Okay, I know what you're all going to say, McDonalds serve the nastiest food under the heavens and you wouldn't stomach it for $10000.

But I think McDonalds is rather tasty, even delicious. Sure, the food is godly in how unhealthy it is, but let us just forget that for a second. Many of us can hardly rightfully claim that we eat healthy foods on a regular basis.

I personally love McDonalds. I hardly eat it, but that is not because I think the food is nasty. Heck, I prefer McDonalds over Inn 'n Out, to be honest. Taco Bell is pretty damn good too. So if McDonald's really is so disgusting, how is it so successful? All little kids love McDonalds. In my very honest opinion, McDonalds fries are extremely tasty.

Is the food served there REALLY disgusting? Or is it a 'fad' to hate on McDonalds simply because it is being different? And contrary to the other thread, most of the McDonalds that I have been too have been fairly clean and provide fast service. Much more so than the Carls Jrs around here. Of course, we have to keep things in perspective.... it IS a fast food chain. It is one thing to diss McDonald's because the food tastes bad, but it is another to diss them because it is unhealthy.

BTW. I don't have any affiliation with McDs besides the fact that I love an occasional double cheeseburger and small fries. I don't know anyone who owns/works at/operates/etc. at a McDonalds.

Only OP read.

Dissing Mcd or any other large successful corp or person is just a way to keep the standards up and the moneymakers on their toes.

Mcd have so much moola, they could feed you frog and make it taste exactly like the last burger.

Dont diss the dissers.

Personally, I feel like a massive greaseball after I eat McD's. My stomache feels like crap and does so for the next 10 hours. I used to not mind it as much, but lately I just cannot stand that feeling.

I know buddy but what you don't seem to understand is that your constant defense of McDonalds gives that impression.

Only if they're a fscking idiot.
No you are the fscking idiot if you don't see it. How hard is it for you to understand that when people criticize McDonalds they are usually talking about the whole Fast Food industry? McDonalds just happens to be the leader of that industry so they make a great target for the just criticism.

Oh yeah, how about the number of people in this, and other threads I've had to prove that their fav competitor or sit-down joint is just as bad? How many of them were positive McDonald's was uniquely bad for them?
You actually believe that people think a Whopper is better for them than a Big Mac?

Maybe if you read the thread, Red, you'd not be looking like such a fool right now.

In fact, you came in right at the end of a debate with someone who swore an In-n-Out burger was better for him than McDonald's. Then he claimed his Jack in the Box burger was better for him.[/quote]

Amused,

That's not all you were trying to argue here. You also claimed that overeating McDonald's food has exactly the same health effects as overeating healthy food (in reference to the Movie Super Size Me).

No, I never missed the point of your post. You missed the point of mine. Burgers, fries and fast foods predate the obesity epidemic by more than 30 years.

But portion sizes (at most restaurants) have increased during that entire time.

How do you know this? Are you God? Like I said, it was a movie, not a carefully controlled study. A controlled study would change one variable at a time. Because this case did not, we will never know how to apportion the blame for the effects.

Because the symptoms he suffered were identical to those suffered by people and animals that are force fed. It doesn't take a god to figure it out... just a brain.

McDonalds:

1. Their fries are great when eaten, hot and fresh, immediately.

2. The dollar double cheeseburger is a stand-out bargain in the emergency food substitute field. I average about two a month.

3. That clown doesn't fool me one bit. The NSA knows what I'm talking about.

4. Watching Amused bring the full force of his giant intellect to bear in post after post of stalwart defense of Micky D's is, well, amusing.

5. There is little serious doubt that McDonald's food is a disaster for you, healthwise. The more of it you eat, the more dull and obese you'll become. Soon, you'll be buying ALL your clothes and video games at the Dollar Mart and telling anyone who'll listen that the negative press about your Cadillac Cimmaron was a giant media conspiracy.

6. McDonald's genius, like Bill Gates' genius, is in the marketing, not necessarily the product.

7. Many fast food places have several superior selections.

8. McDonald's is not the debbil. It just is.

Yes, if you FORCE FEED (past the point of illness) any kind of food, including grains (so not just fats), you can suffer liver damage, obesity, and other ill effects. That's what they do to geese to enlarge their livers to make foie gras.

Double Cheesburger w/ no pickle.
Chicken Select sandwich plain w/ a side of BBQ.
MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Everything in life should be done in moderation.
Americans are bad with moderation, and we can't blame any eatery for that!
