Hah! I was swapping out all of my old HDs on my rig, replacing with 3 1TB SSDs and was copying data to the new drives. Now, I have PC data dating back to the 80s and always copy everything over when I came across an old video I downloaded of a young arrogant Anand! He was on some tech show. I think he was seventeen at the time and was skinny with a full head of hair! He was talking about the "new" anandtech site! Ha! I will see if I can upload it somewhere!

Hey, that's not true! I had my own custom built system with a Slot A Athlon 700 in it back then. Intel had nothing that could compete with it at the time I could never get that damn Mushkin memory to run at it's rated PC133 speed, though.

When did the Dell Dimension XPS systems come out? I vaguely remember them being on sale a lot, and they were upgradable.

There may have been the xps (though i think they came out latter). but no way in hell were they cheap. even a shitty deal was expensive as fuck.

cheapest was gateway's and they were still expensive.

Question or if i want to give my 2 cents. Technology seems to be the ideal niche for me. it incapsulizes the things in life that makes things efficient
