How could the US Postal Service suck more?

The tracking sucks.
On Friday, it was not updated.
Sunday, it was updated and says the package was delivered Friday.
I recieved no package.
How could they suck more?

I admit their tracking is awful but everything else seems good.

I'm pretty sure that "delivered" for the po means that the package made it to your local office. It's not much better for ups. They scan my packages and leave them at other peoples houses. And my house number is printed in big white letters on my mailbox and front door.

Your postal office has lazy bums, that's all I can say. USPS works fine for me. Never lost a package, always on time. 100x better than UPS.

thats why they lose money and are government operated and continue to lose money.... why are UPS and Fedex so successful and fedex is more profitable?

I've never had any problems with USPS. I don't think the government screwed up that one.

In my neighborhood I get the mail from people one street over.. they get ours.. usually its one or two pieces of mail..

Lately I've been getting their entire load of mail. Complaints to the local postmaster havn't helped. I'm thinking about scanning all the mail and make a website http://www.severnpostofficesucks.com and post pictures of all envelopes to the mail I get incorrectly on it site, (with the sensitive info blanked out)

hmm my parents told me not to, but they don't want to get their act together.

The USPS was once losing $11 billion a year.

Sounds like they screwed it up to me!!

But I guess there isn't much of a hurry to make a profit when you have unlimited funds from the tax payer.

The post office has not been funded by taxpayer money since the late 70s early 80s. They USED to be funded by taxpayer revenue but are no longer funded by your taxes.

This is the difference:
UPS lost a package I sent to ViperGTS, but they admit they lost it and made it right in the end.
USPS lost a package, but they don't admit they lost it, and they won't make it right in the end. In phone calls they have said, it shows "delived" on our end, so we have to wait 14 days before we can do a search for it.

I now have the package; they took it to the wrong place. The folks who got it, gave it to me this morning.
