Total price from Newegg w/ Arctic Silver 5 ($5.99) is: $1034 including shipping. What do you guys think? I had about $1000 to spend, but going over a little bit is ok. Would this be a decent gaming rig and also to dabble a little bit in some overclocking? I will also be using the same case, case fans, and both of my HD's. I'll need to clean the case out and clean the dust off the fans prior to new installation.

Thanks for all your responses.

you could probably get by with the old psu with that setup. also, spend the extra $20-$40 and get a tuniq tower or ultra 120 x. otherwise nice job.

Thanks for your response. Is there something wrong with the Soprano case with this setup? Just curious.

Umm, did you guys miss the Corsair HX520 he picked out? That, and its sibling, the HX620, are arguably the best psu's on the market for anything other than an 8 core machine with 8800Ultra's in SLI (and the HX620 CAN power that system, is it recommended for 24/7 use? probably not). I have one sitting in a box waiting to be popped into my machine to power my 8800GTS which is on its way. I would spend the money on an Ultra 120 eXtreme to take your cpu where it can go.

i use rosewill PSUs in all my machines at work and never had a problem with them. great bang for the buck. i also ran a 550w rosewill in my home computer for about a year with no problems. upgraded and threw the rosewill in my gf's machine.

Yea I was on the fence on getting the Ultra 120, but I've read reviews on it saying it's too heavy and a complete pain to install. While the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 is almost as good for cooling and easier to install. Just don't want the headaches with large/heavy heatsinks. hehe
