I was let down to see that spoild looking ogar Palmer win, my vote would have went to Johnson or Banks. I'm not a fan of college football but I did follow it this year, Johnson and Banks were the only two names I heard constantly, along with that QB who broke his foot or ankle(maybe hurt his knee?) but still kicked major ass. Heismen is crap because such a small number of people choose who wins. They should work it like the NFL dose the Pro Bowl, let the people vote.

PS: You'll hear about Johnson in the NFL for sure, QB's are a mixed bag though, Kurt Warner, a 2 time MVP, completely SUCKS now. QB's come and go pretty quickly these day's.

You have to be a student at USC to play football there. So whether or not he broke his colar bone or not, any degree would only require only 4 years. He took 5 years which means ecademically, he could not graduate and had to stay an extra year that is why he gets to play football. So colar bone or not, he is still deficient ecademically.

also, if im not wrong, the teams DO make up the schedule by accepting/rejecting offers from other teams to face off for the season

Difference, the USC/ND game. When Iowa played it's last game Banks had the best quarteback stats, any catagory, in the country.
Dorsey had a mediocre year in that system. With their schedule he should have been up there with Leftwich stats wise.
MaGahee is a sophmore. Just wasn't gonna happen.
It should have been Banks, Johnson, Palmer, Dorsey, MaGahee.

Iowa gets USC in the Orange bowl. Palmer better bring his "A" game or he could be spending a signicant amount of time on his back.

Palmer didn't split the vote east coast west / west coast considering he won every region except the midwest. Plus 75% of the voters are on the east coast. It seems like this year, the player who had the best exposure at the end of the year really made the difference. Dorsey's botched "Heisman" play definity hurt him a lot.

i think magahee (sp?) should have won. what hurt dorsey is he didnt have that one game which left people in awe. he qb'd clearly the best team in college football. if florida state didnt miss that field goal at the end of regulation then miami would have a lost and dorsey wouldnt even be a finalist. i saw the miami vs virgina tech game and it was clear that magahee is miamis best player. he had 6 td's with 9min left to go in the third quarter and his team had the ball 1st and goal on the one. miami's coach then proceeds to 1) put magahee on the sideline and 2) calls a halfback pass to the qb up by 28! what a disgrace!
