I've wondered this myself. I don't answer the phone for numbers that are not in my contacts. I used to, before the number of spam callers exploded a few years ago, but not anymore. I remember for years there was this big issue about who was polling using only land lines and who was using cell phones, but I have to imagine it's almost all cell phone now.

The issue with the pollsters is that they significantly underestimated Trump's support two cycles in a row, has nothing to do with mail-in ballots.

That being said, I'd say the polling is worse. In 2016 you felt the late shift, and Hillary was a terrible candidate with a weak lead.

This time tho, all the negative energy was on the T side, and poll margins were so much higher. This felt different.

I did expect tightening and was worried, but holy crap, 10pts off?

IDK, something just isn't sitting right. Maybe it's all bad polling, clearly there were misses with hispanics, but hard to trust it's just that with all the shenanigans and confusion with the voting changes this year.

Polls don't work anymore in America because this is the country of lies. From fake boobs to phony smiles, lying has become the norm in so many areas that, inspired by the biggest liar of them all, it would not surprise me at all if many would simply try to screw the polls by literally lying.

I think this is exactly right in my opinion. I think a good percentage of Trump supporters take delight in doing anything they can to screw the establishment, but what does it matter when Trump gets a majority of the votes that are counted. The real question is how do you change that. I would say stop playing gender and race identity politics and focus on how to improve the lives of people that vote. People of every race and gender vote. In California the Democratic costal elites are despised by rural voters and get ignored because they are a minority. Democrats are supposed to help minorities.

If they are only doing landlines than they might as well just close up shop on polling, that would be horrible sample selection these days. I have a landline because it comes with DSL but I'm well aware nobody else does. I was getting spammed with (among other things) "neilson" caller id. I didn't pick it up because caller id is always spoofed anyway. Honestly, I'm to busy to want to answer a poll even if I believed it was one. Also, I thought neilson only did tv ratings.

Is it a lie to say "I'd rather not comment"? That was a commonly reported response that cannot be counted. Instilling fear through violence did not prove to be a good strategy that appealed to the masses (no matter how much that reality tried to be explained away). And no, I absolutely didn't vote for Trump.

Bingo. Get back to equality for all. In general, human beings understand and love this concept, regardless of race or gender. The current democratic party appears to be a twisted mess of what it once was.

Pretty much every news outlet is reporting what we already know. Biden 227 Trump 213 as of right now.

oops my bad. CNN EC votes are different than others. Most places reporting Biden 238 Trump 214. CNN isnt counting on Biden's EC votes from AZ even though its pretty clear Biden won. But...lots of time left. We'll see.

Maybe in a deep blue state, but I doubt that Ohio or Florida voters are reluctant to admit to a pollster that they're voting for him.

Nothing like voting for a candidate that supported legislation that disproportionately locked up minorities or his famous "you ain't black" line. Biden and the Progressheviks show minorities exactly where their place is.
