How did you find AnandTech?

Anand went to my high school; I think he had graduated by the time I was a freshman. I saw him pull up in his red ferarri one day (to visit one of the teachers as I later found out). One of my friends recognized him + his car and pointed me to a news article about him and this website.

I got paranoid when I was building my AMD K-something computer. Thought I left a piece of plastic attached to the heat sink on before attaching it to the motherboard. The sad thing was that I took a plastic shell off and saw only a thermal pad... So I came on to ask how many layers of plastic come with those CPUs.

Friend of mine in the Air Force in 98 was putting together a computer. I was interested in how to put my own together as well, something I've never done before, and he directed me to this site to use. Been here since. Stupid board overhaul at the end of 1999 made us all have to rejoin and I no longer have my 1998 join date though.
