I have one felony firearms violation-some frat boys were coming after me when they crossed the street I fired three shots in the air. My record have been expunged except for the arrest which I am told will always be on my record.
These are dangerous times and I want to protect my family.
If I go to a store to buy a gun will I automatically be turned down because of it?
Thanks

Only in the air? You should've shot them in the legs, that's the best place to cap people. You can defend yourself in court and also kill them if you hit the arteries.

Anyways, nah you can still buy guns. Just probably not automatics. But only ISIS uses automatics these days.

I don't want automatics, I just want a few pistols to protect my family.

A few pistols? How many hands do you have?!

You can get a super awesome axe from HomeDepot. $40, and no background check. You also get the good feeling of fucking someone up manually, just as Odin intended.

Dangerous times? Is your definition of dangerous different than the common usage? Historically, crime is at an all time low.

Hard to tell if you get turn down or not. The seller at the store will have to enter your name, SS number, and other personal information into the FBI's background check. Within a few minutes, you will get either Yes or No or Hold.

Unlicensed gun sellers at gun shows are not required to do back ground check.

Can't you just walk in to about any department store in the states and pickup a gun? Worse case scenario they might ask for ID, but do they even do that? Buy other stuff too so it looks more like an impulse purchase. Buy the ammo separately.

Failing that, super soaker + dangerous chemical of your choice. Battery acid is kinda mean, it can blind them, so I'd probably go with something flammable and just set them on fire.

Your signature shows me you are not mature enough to own firearms.

No can do. That's a myth from Hollywood movies.

You MUST pass a background check from the FBI database before any licensed seller would dare to sell you any gun.

Yeah but you act like that's hard. I've been convicted of 2 felonies and I still bought a few guns this year. You just can't buy automatics, but those suck anyways.

Nope.

But like marijuana and fireworks, banning them doesnt keep them away. You just get a black market for them and the problems continue.

What about the kids who shot up columbine and other shootings? Didn't they just pickup their guns at like K-mart or something? Or have they tighten things up more than they were back then?

The shooter of Sandy Hooks took the guns from his mother (she purchased them legally) after he shot her dead.

The husband and wife team of CA shooting got the guns from a neighbor and now he is in trouble with that and more.

The VT shooter got his handguns legally. After the shooting, some said he should not be able to buy the guns because of simmering mental issues for years.

The two guys of Columbine got the guns legally and from friends from what I read. Two friends of the shooters received jail sentences because of those guns.

AFAIK, rules were the same then but now several states such as CA would not let you buy guns with large capacity mag and other stuffs such as adjustable stock.

but maybe his dangerous times are worse than yours or my dangerous times?

honestly, if I were a muslim with a young family in this country right now, I'd be shitting a few bricks each week.

Some of my pals are. Just saying.

something that happened in the past, which is why he has had long enough time to mention it being expunged, yet the arrest being permanent.

also, has kids--something that probably happened after that conviction, maybe several years later.

maybe.

"these are dangerous times." meaning: now.

He's concerned, for whatever reason, about now and his ability to feel protected because of something he did in the past--stupidly or otherwise.

Where did you get this idea that you can just walk into a store, get a gun off a shelf, and go through a normal checkout line

Muslims are in deep shit regardless.

I saw an article about a brown skinned woman asking for 5.56 and the next day police visited her.

If I were a muslim, I'd skip the guns for now. Angry, stupid white people are running around scared and violent. No need to excite them more.

I don't trust the OP. He's owned a gun, had significant legal trouble due to questionable use of a gun, believes he needs at least two new guns, seeks gun purchasing information on computer forum.

Seems trollish.
