How do I burn a linux ISO onto a cd?!

Aight guys. I just dl'ed Linux-mandrake iso (both discs). I tried to figure out in nero how to burn the iso to the cd, but i cannot find the option. I have the newest ver of nero, 5.0.3.8. Plz help! thnx

rename the .ISO to .NRI (that's nero's ISO file extension...) and use nero to burn the file...

go here and download the demo of CDRWin, its great for burning ISO images. Demo only writes at 1x speed though.

Think I had to make a boot floppy to get Drake 7 to install. There are files on the CD ythat do it for you .. if you have probs with booting from the CD.

Fun with mandrake? I think not, be prepared for a nightmare. Linux is a bitch to set up, and and bitch to uninstall. I had more problems with linux than I've ever had with windows.

I wasn't even impressed with it when I finally had it running. I don't care how stable linux supposedly is, Windows is a far better operating system. Even all the programs for linux suck.

I've learned my lesson after the massive problems I had with linux.

I'm sure this will inflame some linux lovers here, but I'm not exaggerating one bit, of the experience I had.

yup, i tried, redhat, corel , and caldera linux about a year ago, well actually more than maybe nov 1999. i was looking for a stable OS to replace win98m, and well linux was stable, but it was kinda hard to setup and install stuff. i got the mp3 player and corel word perfect working and netscape, and it was fast and all, but really the UI sucks (well KDS and gnome i thought did, so hard to even make a shortcut to my apps). Anyways it was ok, but there aren't any decent apps for it that make it worthwhile. Win2k RTM came out the next month and i killed it.

You don't have to rename the .iso to .nri - just select "all files" when you are browsing for the .iso.

And yes, KDE/GNOME GUI SUX!

well I got linux-mandrake running. A few problems here and there but otherwise decent. It seems pretty cool so far. I think that mandrake did a pretty good job with their software bundling. Yeah I would have to agree that Gnome sux alot! However, KDE seems pretty good. O well later guys. Thnx
