How do I connect my computer to my LCD TV and get full screen scaling?

I have a Sharp 45" LCD Aquos that i connected to my Gigabyte GeForce 7300GT graphics card using component cables. I also have a 19" dell connected to the same card via DVI.
I used Nvidia's control panel to set the displays to Dual View Cloning and I get acceptable picture quality on the 45" LCD (my Dell 19" LCD is very sharp).

However, the 45" TV doesn't display the signal full-screen and there is no "zoom" or "pan" function that i can select. I also can't change the resolution of the TV signal through the component outs, only the DVI resolution that's connected to my 19" LCD.

any thought on this? how do i get the picture to display full-screen?

Don't clone, extend. You need to output the TV's native resolution (probably 1080p, 1920x1080) so that it will work correctly.

Also, why aren't you using the LCD's DVI/VGA/HDMI connection?

The whole reason i'm connecting the TV to the computer is to watch movies on my TV instead of the 19" LCD. When i extend half my windows could swap over to the TV side when i work on the computer.
Besides, i already tried that and i couldn't get the picture to get any bigger than it already is (1280*)1024

Also, why aren't you using the LCD's DVI/VGA/HDMI connection?

Two HDMI connections are already taken (DVD & Cable Box).
I haven't tried VGA though...need to buy a long enough cable (~25ft) first.

Component is generally the worst option vs. VGA and DVI/HDMI because it obviously relies upon the viddy card's TV encoder before even adding any potential input problems on the TV side. That said, it should be workable somehow. 1080 or 720 (depending upon TV capability) should be selectable from the Nvidia TV configuration drop-down menu.

DualView is required to allow independent resolutions but Clone should not be used. The Full-Screen Video option may still be defective and distort the aspect ratio in which case dragging the player window over is necessary. Depending upon the player, it may be left there and files could then be opened, sent or dragged. Windows do not automatically swap over. The "path" between the two displays can be configured from Display Properties by dragging the secondary display around to the desired location adjacent to the primary.

Also note that each renderer behaves differently in regard to primary/secondary, use of overlay, colour adjustment, &c. so that requires some testing to select the best.
