How do I create partitions?

I have windows 98 se, Iwill xp 333, amd 1800+, 2x40 gig hdd running in raid 0, 512mb pc2700, 64mb ti200.
I want to set up a dual boot with xp and I never have figuered out how to set up partitions on my hdd.

I don't need any 3rd party apps do I?

If you've got free space on your drive, no.

Boot to the WinXP CD. During text mode setup you specify what partition you want to install XP to. You can create partitions right there and then from within setup.
