how do I deal with a CHEAP bf?

Um, same situation, my GF makes a little more than i do, i never buy food, i've pretty much resorted to starving myself, because i do live on my own, and rent is killer. I splurge once in a while, but when we go out, i usually pay.

i say, stop buying him stuff, and let him learn to be responsible. If he doesn't wanna go out and buy real food, so be it...you shoudlnt' have to be the one getting food for him. in time, things should change, if not...dump him

$40/week is actually decent food wise.. for one person anyway. I spend about $20-25 on food/wk last semester.. but that's living w/ 4ppl.. bill and food were split rather evenly tho. Never go when you're hungry either

and ramen may be cheaper than chips and cereal.. but i can't stand the stuff at "american" markets.. gotta have the stuff from "asian" markets.. but even then.. i can only eat it once a week maybe I'd rather live off cereal...

and sit down and have a little talk w/ your bf.. sounds like you two need too.

well he's never had money for as long as i've known him (which is about a yr) and i've always bailed him out of his financial troubles. he says that when he has money he'll spend it all on me but i wonder when will he have money.

As long as people bail him out, he does not have to face reality and be appropriate.
This is not a good relationship to be in with anyone.
If it does not change, you need to save yourself a lot of future grief and move on with no regrets.
BTW, you're not doing him any favors helping him keep his head in the sand by accomodating him. You are enableing his inappropriate behavior.
This is bad for both of you. He is taking advantage of you and you are letting him, by his "starving" and you rescueing him.

The short version of the above: This is *Bullsh!t* and you need to move on.
