HOw Do i Dual boot Windows vista with xp

Is there A way to Dual boot Windows vista with xp on a single HD. If yes then How?

I downloaded Windows vista rc1 please help me on dual booting

I asked a similar question a few days ago here, and still haven't recieved a responce

at this time, the only way I can boot into vista is to leave the DVD in the drive, and remove it to boot into XP

AFAIK you don't need to do anything. Just install XP first and Vista after that on a separate partition. It will automatically become dual boot.

Your second partition (the one vista is on) need to be a Primary partition...not logical.
If it is made a Primary, then you will get the option in the boot sequence to choose which OS to boot from.

Hey junior, there is this awesome tool (found here) that will answer all your dual boot questions.

My original post was not about dual booting in general but about Vista RC1 specifically, which only requested a simple yes or no answer from any of the numerous people on this site who have obviously installed Vista RC1. I haven't even received as little as a nod in response to a very simple question.

And furthermore, to know you all place such high value on something as trivial as a post count so early on is quite nice to know. I would have hated to have invested much more time in a site that is so superficial.
