device manager, computer, expand and choose new driver, pick the multprocessor from the list and install

Sorry, but you are *ALWAYS* multitasking. Please provide links where you show games are slower with HT.

Im sure some games could benefit from hyperthreading if developers actually coded their games to take advantage of it. But the market just isnt there yet.
The only game that really ever had SMP support was the 'Quake 3 engine', but it was broken in some update and never fixed. (I think i heard of some other game that had it, but it didnt work or was pretty crappy implementation..)
