Okay, so I think I have a pretty cool idea for a website. It's nothing too special, nothing Web 2.0 that will get a giant user following and get bought by Google, but it should attract some buzz and get a good amount of visitors. Its probably a few notches above milliondollarhomepage; i.e. there is a little bit of a gimmick factor to it. Anyway, I'm going to depend on ad revenue, how do i go about this? I been looking at google ads, affilite programs, and the such. Learning about pay per click, CPM, and so on, but haven't been able to put it all together. Where should I start? Some affilite programs require a minimum page views (which i don't have since it hasn't launched). Plus I dont get the need for a minimum, a thousand views is a thousand views no matter it take a day or a month. I'm looking to maximize my ad revenue here obviously. The plan would probably be a pop-under, a banner, and a few boxes. Any suggestions are welcome!
