ok i am stumbling through creating/managing web server database that i am currently hosting myself. i have a basic table setup that takes in user name and password, stores the information, and allows people to login to a site. obviously if they enter incorrect data the site does not let them in and redirects them to main page.
First, is there a simple way to bleep out the password that is typed in to login and register? Can you point me in the right direction?
Second, what do you suggest to do to add basic security to password? (keep in mind its just to access basic stuff, there will be no buying or exchange of personal info so it doesn't have to be crazy secure)
