How do I make all users have the same desktop settings in XP?

I thought I saw this setting somewhere when I was monkeying around, but can't seem to find it now.

This is just a theory, but it SHOULD work.

Go into default user. Delete the Desktop folder. Create a shortcut called Desktop to the Desktop folder under 'All Users'. Now they should automatically get that desktop upon account creation and should use the same shared desktop.

Thanks for the info, that's part of what I was looking for. I edited my title to clarify what I meant.

I'm looking for a setting so that I don't have to change all of the desktop settings each time I create a new user.

What settings are you referring to? Resolutions settings? Icon placements? Backgrounds?

I have never used XP before, but I know that you could probably pull this off in 2K. You could go to /winnt/profiles/default...I think. Change this desktop to whatever icons you would like in this folder and it SHOULD be good to go. Again, I have never used XP, so this is all in theory.

If this is part of a Domain then you can use the profile option under the user on the server. If this is a stand alone station then what you have to do is setup the rest of the users on the workstation and create a profile the way you want it to look then rt click on my computer choose the advanced tab then choose profiles. Copy the profile from the one you created to the rest of the users profiles.
