How do i make my game NOT stretched?

I have a Viewsonic VA1912WB monitor and when i play wc3, it is stretched out. I hate it, how do i change it to its native resolution when i turn on the game?

Check your monitor settings. (the menu button on your monitor)

actually, its just stretching the game. I want to have it as if, i am playing without a widescreen; i want the black bars on the sides.

If I remember correctly, I think there are some monitors that do not support that. I think that was one of the mains reasons why I bought my monitor. You should check Viewsonic's website to see if this feature is included.

You need to change your display "scaling" to "fixed aspect ratio" in your display properties or GPU control panel. What video card?

I use the mouse to move around to different areas, the mouse always jumps out of the game window; this is not an option for me.

There you go, set the resolution to 1440x900.

Edit: Wait, the site says that stretches the image... why would they set the game up like that??

Yeah, I've actaully seen that. It's pretty much useless since the monitor stretches it anyways.

The computer I use the widescreen monitor with does not have an ati card, but I do use this monitor for that computer once in a while.
