How do i make my hp 952c print like an hp p1000 photo series?

i guess theres a software difference........and my 950 series printer that has the same cartridge as the hp photo series of printers.......prints sub quality pictures....when compared to hp's photo series.........which is an identical printer.........almost............

Some Questions:

Are you choosing "HP Premium photo paper" under "paper type" in Properties?

Are you using photo paper?

of course........i usually use the premium photo paper........i guess there's a software difference.......in which the photo series hp printers put the ink on the paper......in a way to make the photo......more photo-realistic...............any ideas

I have the 932 and the P1100 and can not discern any difference in the output of each. Both print excellent photographs on HP Photo Premium paper.
If you notice a difference between the two it may be a problem with your printer.

There is absolutely NO difference, whatsoever, in the print quality of those two printers (or any other HP in the 900 and Photosmart lines). Ask HP - they'll confirm it. If it's not printing well you're not setting something right. Like AmusedOne said, make sure you're setting it for photo paper, make sure you're telling it high quality print, and (this one might seem a little too obvious) make sure you're printing an image from a good source. If you're printing a low-res image at 8x10, the best printer in the world isn't going to make it look any better.

Well, it's good that you're using premium photo paper, although HP's paper has been proven to out last all others when it comes to fading over time.

But you didn't answer my first question. Are you clicking on "Properties" EVERY time you print, and selecting "HP Premium Photo Paper" as you paper type?

sorry, but ofcouse i make sure i use the higest quality settings each time i print a page........they are also set as defult...........all i do with the inkjet is print pictures..........i have never printed text with it.........i jsut my lazer for all other print jobs................

are you guys sure the non photo lines of printers are not set up to print as well.......the results ive seen with the output from the p1000 and the 952 are obously different.......under the same detail settings.........?

Possibly you didnt read my answer: that my p1100 and 932 print photos exactly the same. In fact my 932 is almost a year older than the p1100 and shows no degradation of photo quality.
