How do I PM?

I've been here for a while and always see ppl PM products. But how do I do this?
The store I'm interested in is staples. Is there a link on their site that shows how to do this?

I've never done any pricematching myself, but I'm pretty sure that you have to call them up and speak to a CSR (Customer Service Representative)

Basically you call them up and request a price match or you can submit a request via their website (depends on store). Just click on the search button and put in "PM staples" or "price match staples" and only search by title and you'll find some good info. Or maybe someone will be extra nice and give you a good summery. Oh yeah, you need someone to price match with of course and they need it in stock. With Staples it is kind of tricky because they try to hit you with next day shipping charges if they can ship it next day.

And... Uhmm... I just can't post this without saying you really should have asked this question elsewhere (like in this ~~~~ How Do I? ~~~~ moderator endorsed thread). A simple search is always a good way to start any query though!

How do I pricematch other stores (online or B&M) with Staples.com?

Method 1

Click the link to add your coupons and enter your coupon code
When the coupon is verified, enter your payment information
When you are ready to submit your order, click the "Live Support" link and give the rep the price matching information.
Follow the instructions sent by the rep to complete the order with the match.

NOTE: The "Live Support" link only appears during business hours. You will not see it during off hours.

Method 2:


Place a normal order online using your coupon code during the checkout process.
When you receive your confirmation email, click reply and request a price match. Include all the relevant information -- web address or phone number for brick & mortar store, price, and extra shipping offer if applicable.
The processing center should confirm the match via email within a few hours.

Method 3:

Call and place your order. Give the rep the Staples stock number, the competitor's information and mention any special shipping offers, then your coupon code.

Personally, I prefer method 1 or 2 because that way I get a written confirmation of the deal. Calls are best when the competitor's stock may be low. Many others prefer to call for every match; it's up to you.

However you do it, be prepared. Read the Staples Price Matching Policy before you start. Price matching can only be requested on the same item as identified by the UPC and it must be in stock. If you want to match to a brick & mortar store, call to verify stock before you request the match and provide the telephone number in your request. Check the shipping costs too and be prepared to discuss them with the customer service rep. If Staples does not offer next day shipping on the item, the match cannot include overnight shipping charges. Overnight charges should not be assessed if you live in a Staples delivery area either; if Staples charges you for ground shipping, shipping costs should not be a factor in the match.

Call 1-800-3STAPLE and ask them how you can pricematch an item. The CSR will fill you in on how the process is done.
