Fuck. That.

Paper wasp.

I'd just knock the nest down at night and run. No further action should be necessary. It's unlikely they'll try to build a nest in the same place.

You'd be surprised. Given that all the larvae have already grown into wasps, you're just about right. But a paper wasp building a new nest is insanely persistent. I've knocked down a given next 4 or 5 times before they give up (this is before/during laying eggs in it).

It's called a lighter. Flick on your lighter, spread bug spray from behind the flame.

But of course. You want it to be flaming wasp spray thrower. Not light wasp sprayed nest on fire. Flame throwing wasp killer.

This guy is as idiot who needs to be stoned with one large boulder on his head. Those are honeybees which are the most docile of bees/wasps stinging only when clearly agitated. As simple phone call to a beekeeper would take care of the problem. Bees live and give honey and kids are safe. Evidently this stupid prick does know about honeybees dieing from an unknown cause and how dependent plant life thus human life is on honeybees.

Sissy...just knock it down with a stick and maintain your stance of dominance.
This is the only way to deal with wasps.

Everyone knows this.

OR, get a can of the long-distance wasp spray and hit it when it's cool and dark...then run like hell!

Screw that. Flame thrower. That way you could hear the young pupae scream in pain until they burst open from the heat like popcorn. Then the mother wasp will rip itself from it's egg sack and get super pissed. Then comes more flame thrower.

Put on a hoodie, jeans, and leather work gloves, wrap a scarf or shirt around your neck and face up to your eyes, put on glasses, cinch hood around your face down to where nothing can get in, walk up to the nest and spray it with liquid death. A few insects will not be hit by the spray and fall to the ground dead immediately, that's what all the clothes are for. Once you've sprayed it, get into your car and drive off with the windows down so that any stowaways will fly out before you take off the hoodie and stuff.

How high up or easily accessible is it? I've heard of some people putting a jar of gasoline under a nest over night. The fumes will rise up to the nest and kill them.

Use brake clean, better yet two cans at once. It drops them in mid-air if necessary; nasty stuff, but you need to hit all of them.

And a destroyed swing set.

Those bees would have left on their own. They were just swarming until they found a new location to build a new hive. It happens all the time.

queen probably abandoned the hive. What a retarded thing to do, destroy all those honey-making bees. all they needed was a new queen and an apiary, never would have been a problem for anyone.

stupid rednecks.

my brother and neighbors and I, back when we were youngins, dealt with a front porch swing-wasp infestation this way. it was the middle of summer (100+, 200% humidity, etc), and we donned several layers of cloth and jackets, giant motorcycle helmets (we were ~5-8 yrs old), baseball bats and WD40 cans + fire.

It was a great time.

LOL, I had a wasp nest on the window beside my front door other week. I did a drive by spray with flea and tick spray. The nest is abandoned and I guess it worked (I went straight off for a long walk)
