How do I slow down my AMD64?

Does anyone know of any utilitys that will let me turn down my Proc in windows?

I'm trying to set up my computer to be near silent and also I want to use less power when I'm not doing anything that needs it. ( i.e. Surfing the web, music, Downloads at night. ect.) I'm Hoping that it will help cut down on the bills. or at the very least, keep it cooler.

Cool n Quiet or just drop the multiplier in the BIOS.

I did, It's not working.

I have a MSI Neo2 plat

Is there some wierd settings I have to check?

Or is there a Cool'n'quite dance I must do around my computer naked, at night, while waring a top hat?

bios and power management and all.

Have you installed the AMD driver found on there web site?

The quiet part I can understand but saving on your electricity bill seems a little excessive. Good luck to you with the Cool and quiet option though.

that's a funny thread....

get a better, more silent Cooler for your CPU, but I'm pretty sure that your Graphics Card is more noisy than the AMD64...

Cool n Quite will do the job you want, there's nothing else to do ....

Get a good quality case, and start investing in proper cooling...

Try undervolting it by 10%. That will decrease power consumption by almost 20%.
