How do I slow down ScreenSaver?

My screen saver are these chinese characters scrolling across my screen. It looks pretty cool but the problem is that it scrolls too fast. Is there any way to slow or turn the speed down?

Make your processor work hard. Write a program that wastes cycles, compress a file, run a game in the background, etc.

Cant you just go into the setting in your screensave and turn the speed down?
