fsck i can feel your pain man... been in that boat before and used a major life changing event as an excuse to break up... (she was moving to another country in a few months so i said it was better to break up now rather than endure the pain of a sad goodbye later) maybe it was kinda harsh but we still talk on MSN every now and then and theres no hard feelings!

the girl im with right now is pretty hot except for a beer gut... lol its true she loves beer and we go out for beers all the time and stuff... and well it doesnt bother me that much but i have a feeling it will come back to haunt me... so i'm gradually trying to get her to come for runs with me or cut down on the beer etc but she has no intentions of doing any of that... argh... i dunno what to do but i might be facing a similar decision again...

First of all, if you've been dating a long time, then the relationship should be deeper than just looks.
But: You're only 21, so life isn't "real" yet. You're still practicing...and you obviously have lots more practice needed.

That being said, I'd have to agree that 15-20lbs on that little girl in the pic would be quite significant. And if that's going to bother you this badly, you might as well break up with her...because I saw you mentioned she's starting to look like her mom.....and that's exactly what she will eventually look like.

I agree with others that you're being kind of shallow, but at your age, who cares? Break up with her, which will really do HER a favor, and find chicks you think aren't fat.
There are plenty of them at your age....but just remember, the older you get, the less and less of them there are, so your tastes better change with time.

Oh, and the best way to get her to lose weight is to break up with her. She'll drop the lbs quickly. Funny how it works that way, but that's a fact.
You do need to talk to her, though. That's the first step.
