How do I test my server and see what "they" see? Time to load etc.?

Is there a tool that will allow me to see my load times (exactly as my visitors), etc.?

Something of the sort basically...I think dsl reports has pinger that they ustilize for such things..


can I get the ip? or DNS?

Damn...

I can't seem to reach my server from the net.

I don't have it going through my router. Just through a hub and then my DSL modem. The rest of my system runs off the hub then through my router.

Not sure why my server is not being accessed from the net. No router in between. I can pull up the website using http://servername.net:*** (port used). but not from an outside system.

Hmmmmmmmmmm ..... is it possible the DSL modem only allows using a particular port? I did switch from the standard port 80. Would my hub keep me from reachin out?

As far as I can see from your post, you have your web server and a router hooked into a hub which is then plugged into your DSL modem correct?? If so, how many IP addresses are you getting? There is the possibility that your router is getting an outside IP address and your web server isn't. That would certainly stop one from accessing it through the web.

I have everything set to obtain IP address automatically. I have not assigned any IP address for each computer.

Right now i am just running my server to my modem without any router or hub.

Will have someone test and see if I am getting through.
