HOW DO I UNLOCK THE MULTIPLIER?

for those of you who unlocked the multiplier in the XP, where can i find a cheap silver conductive paste that the guides say i need? i saw one site that had it for 22 bucks.. thats a lot of money... anyone got any suggestions as to where i can find this silver laquer????

Go to a NAPA auto parts store and get the window defogger repair kit. Works like a charm. About $7. Spend another $4 for some gel-based superglue (same store) to fill in the laser holes. Mask the bridges with scotch tape so you only paint a thin trace (see the TH guide), use a pushpin to separate any traces that accidently run together, and test the connections with a multimeter. LMK if you have any more questions.

thanks a lot Jay Bee... 7 bucks is very affordable... i have some epoxy at home though
that 5 min expoxy kind... the one with 2 tubes attached to each other that you mix to activate... i read somewhere that that works too... (for the nonconductive stuff to fill in the gap) do you know if it'll do? does anyone know?

The superglue is best because of the applicator. Epoxy either brushes on or uses an eyedropper. With superglue you get the needlepoint applicator, so it's easier to get in the tiny little laser holes. Several other ppl here use the gel-based superglue, so it's a tried-and-true solution.
