Question about the recent lexmark z11 printer from vstore.
Got the printer today, looks great. Only problem is there was no packing slip or invoice. Can I just use the email from vstore as that part of the rebate requirement? I've heard Lexmark is picky about there rebates so I don't want to send something they won't take. By the way the rebate I got with the printer was for $50 not just $40, so I'll (hopefully) be getting it for only the shipping charges. If anyone knows what I should do about the rebate, or if they can tell me what they did, that'd be great!

Hey littleman
It means Brick & Mortor, Staples, Office Depot, Fry's, Best Buy ...

I think it would be a good idea to have a list of all these acronyms they are quite a few of which I still havn't figured out myself

LOL is the most puzzling, Ive seen it used in many different instances and it seems to have different meanings or some are using it out of context.

just put "[ l ]" and "[ /l ]", without the spaces to get this:

LOL=laugh out loud... always. There are quite a few iterations of rofl.. I've seen some that almost take up an entire line.. like roflmaowsbsutmnbyasdfmlhamb.

Dumbass Newbie here! - Be gentle!

I looked in ~~~~I WANNA~~~~~ and
~~~~~Brag & Moan~~~~~
but I'm still not sure where to ask this.
I've seen quite a few posts in Hot Deals where someone replied that it wasn't a deal, sucked, or whatever.
Is this to protect people from bad deals?
I have seen the same responses to posts for totally free stuff. Is this because some "veterans" here know which sites will 'spam' you, or is there a clue in the referenced site that new people can use to avoid unwanted mail/e-mail??
How do I get the maximum amount off my Onvia order of $1,500? I don't want to place 8 orders of $200 or less - actually, I can't when I am buying two 800Mhz PIII's
I have a question for all you Hot Deal junkies who also have day jobs. I tend to buy a crapload of stuff off the net but I am never home during the day to accept my packages. I'm always coming home and seeing those yellow slips on my door. Most of the time my neighbors will get them for me but I get so many I feel like it's becoming a nuisance to them. It's just a pain and I'm starting to think twice before ordering things just to avoid that hassle. Anyone have any suggestions??
I am never home to accept delivery of items I ordered. I always leave a note for the delivery guy/girl to leave the package behind.
Haven't lost anything yet.
Hi,
I am having problems with the Estamp software. My computer is a Dell Optiplex GX110T with PIII 667 and Intel I815 motherboard. The LPT1
is connected only to the electronic vault.
The problem is that the software can not locate the vault. Estamp tech support diagonosed that it is due to the fact that the LPT1 port is in sort of sleeping mode, it will be waken up when something like a print job is sent in. The signal that the software used to check status of vault is not big enough to wake the port up. It looks like it is the case since if I send a print job to LPT1 and Estamp software is able to find the vault in the mean time. But the software still can't work right and when it tries to deposit the $50 credit into the vault the software freezes while checking status (of vault).
So Estamp people told me they are not allowed to help me on BIOS and to call Dell to change the LPT1 setting in BIOS from SLEEPING mode to ALWAYS ON mode which they firmly believe could be done. When I call Dell support they say the setting is already ALWAYS ON and if there is any problem it is the software that should be upgraded. The LPT1 setting I find in BIOS have two items (1) modeS/2, EPP, ECP, AT (2)address 378h, except when mode is ECP there is another item about DMA, I don't see an option about SLEEPING mode there. I've been on the phone back and forth between Dell and Estamp and this is really frustrating!!
Any suggestions or advices? Shall there be a place in BIOS where one can change the SLEEPING mode?
I've tried to check previous posts, unfortunatedly previous long threads are no longer available.
Thanks a lot in advance.
foamer -- It sounds like you have a tech problem. You might get more help by posting your question in one of the other forums where they talk about .... uhh... COMPUTERS.
In April I did an Oldsmobile test drive-$50 buy.com gc deal I found out about here at Anandtech. Never got it, and I can't find my xerox of the form. Anyone have a phone# or email to pursue this, did anyone get theirs, am I screwed w/out my xerox? (I searched anandtech for this but couldn't find any threads)
Thanks
Morph,
I was in the same situation you were in. Since I worked in an office, I shipped all my orders to my workplace. If you don't have that option, I guess you would have to try wiin's way. I'm not sure if that always works, b/c some delivery requires signature. Another less appealing option is shipping it to a P.O. Box if it's available for you. Or perhaps ship it to a nearby relative/friend/co-worker's place who would be willing to help you.
