This is one of the main ways Amex pricematching is used here. You will be allowed to pricematch to a less reputable dealer.

I have a question about how MSN Passport Rebate works:

You are supposed to get an email confirmation for the MSN Passport rebate correct? How long does it take for MSN to send this confirmation? I ordered a camera 3 days ago but I have not received any confirmation. I thought I would get the rebate confirmation once the camera shipped, but I still havent gotten it. Is there a problem or is this typical? When should I expect my rebate confirmation?

Can anyone explain this MSN Passport deal to me? I keep seeing it posted in a bunch of threads, but I don't know the details.

First you sign up for a MSN username (same as hotmail) then put your CC info into Passport Wallet. (info at my.msn.com)
You buy something from participating vendors (sorry dont have the link off hand) using the "Passport Express purchase" button and then MSN sends you a check for $20 for every $100 you spend.
Example: I spent $405 at ritzcamera.com using the passport purchase, so I should get a check for $80 from microsoft.

There should be a confirmation email from Microsoft confirming that your purchase qualified for the rebate, but I havent received mine. Thats what Im trying to figure out, when the email comes.

anyway today is the last day, so hurry up and jump on this deal.

she said that any pricematch over $100 had to go to corporate, yadda yadda, they'd call me back.

Couldn't even get to the coupon stage.
Well, she proved herself difficult, so I said I'll call back, *click*.

SO WHAT'S UP WITH STAPLES? Their policy doesn't say anything about not pricematching, does it?

Well you shouldnt outright lie, but if you read closely, it says your household income. If you are a college student then you are probably still a dependent to your parents, so you can legally put down your parents combined income on the application.
