The subsidized Mustang would only cost $30,214 (with a 2 year contract ), but the subsidized Camaro only cost $7,500. I would have to pay 5x times the cost of the Camaro to get the Mustang. Which car / phone would be the better buy?
The comparison is the same, only the scale is different.
I stand by opinion that the 6+ 128GB is not worth the 2x price that Verizon is charging for it over the cost of the G3 32GB.

I think you're not getting the subsidized pricing argument being presented now that both Verizon and ATT give a discount once you're month to month. The true cost of buying a new phone is the upfront cost (iPhone is 5x the LG G3) + the 2 year subsidized fee (~$15-20/month). So in your car example, your "down payment" is 5x the other, but over the lifetime of the subsidy surcharge, the total cost of ownership is 2x.
