How do uninstall/disable ONEDRIVE on Windows Phone

This stupid app stores all my photo's (without my permission) and then randomly emails them to me which is frustrating and annoying.

Total invasion of my privacy. I don't even feel safe taking personal photo's anymore cause I have no idea who is seeing them.

I can't find any uninstall or disable option. I'm frustrated with it.

I found all kinds of help on how to disable it on the computer, but those options are not available on my phone (like right clicking).

Any ideas?

That's the problem, none of the help thingies are like what I see on my screen. First of all, where the heck is the "start" screen on Windows phone????

So I find settings under "apps" and it doesn't have the options described in that help.

When I go to "backup", there is no "apps list and settings" or "photos" or "photo's and video". There is simply ONE check box that says "settings backup" and one that says "app backup", but the "app backup" is greyed out so I cannot uncheck the box.

I'm so frustrated with this, and to change any function in ONEDRIVE, I have to set up an account. I mean if I don't even have an account, why does it even upload my photo's to the cloud??? Im so frustrated and mad with this, nobody should be uploading or saving my photo's video's without my permission.

Not sure what version of Windows Phone you're running, but once you go into OneDrive, there should be a hamburger menu in the left. You can then access the settings and turn off the backup feature.

Go to System Settings -> Backup -> Photos+Videos. You then have the option to disable automatic backup to OneDrive. This took me 20 seconds of looking in the settings menu to locate.

1. Open onedrive app
2. Click on the hamburger menu button in the top left.
3. click on settings at the bottom....NOT Account Settings
4. Click on Camer upload.
5. Turn off.

After clicking settings at the bottom, there is nothing in there called "Camer Upload". There is "About", "Accounts" and "Options". None of which have anything about "camer upload".

Your onedrive randomly email your backup photo back to you? Not a hardcore fan but never heard of it or happen to me during my 4years with WP.

Yes, weekly. At the bottom of the page there is a link that says something like "we want your feedback" and I let them have it several times.

It's a privacy violation. I never signed up or enabled it.

It got so bad, I returned the phone, got a new one and made them remove it from my new phone.

The email isn't a WP issue - I've never had it happen to me despite using WP/Skydrive/Onedrive since WP7.

I've seen my wife get those emails despite never using WP (she got them when she still had her new iPod) though - and barely using Onedrive, certainly never really consciously. Just a check box online to tick where it email a weekly summary of your activity.

This is LITERALLY super simple.

Login to Onedrive in browser.
Go up to the big gear icon for settings, choose Options.
Look at the choices available...wait for it..."Notifications"?
Click/tap
TWO CHOICES UNDER SEND ME EMAIL
When someone changes one of my pictures;

A recap of my weekend photos.

Uncheck, hit Save. Possibly profit.

This is so weird. Not sure if simply trolling?

How could it upload your photos, if you say you don't even have account?
How can you even us the phone without MS account? I mean, you can, but you are stuck with built in stuff only.
