How do we feel about tan interiors?

I didn't really like my tan/black interior when I bought my car over 4 years ago, but it has grown on me... The two-tone looks better than the all-black interiors that came with these cars, in my opinion. I know how much you guys love GM interiors!

I like the beige tan ones, not so much the darker ones. Though dark tan with a white exterior and black secondary can look very nice.

I also really like white and black with ash wood trim though, so maybe disregard me lol

Also a huge fan of the black alcantara headliner, visors and pillars in my Corvette. Only seen it in very expensive cars before that.

Depends on whether it has leather or cloth seats. I wouldn't buy a car with tan interior and cloth. It just feels and looks cheap and it gets dirty too quickly. My last two vehicles have had gray interior and my current car has a black interior (which is okay but like you said, too hot in the sun).

My wife's car has tan leather and it looks really nice. I prefer it to my car but they're both nice inside so I can't complain too much. I didn't really have much choice with my car as there were very few to choose from in the SoCal area. They just don't sell very many with the V8 engine so it was literally a choice between 3-4 cars and I had been looking on and off for a few months.

Maybe its the leather vs cloth..
My Chrysler was Leather. Her tortise was cloth.
Her current car is a 2010 Edge. Its hot, but the AC cools down the car quickly. Its got rear and rear side windows all tinted, then some kind of transparent UV blocker in the windshield and front side windows ... Ford stuck a powerful AC in there too .. It was in the 90s outside and Inside the car, I made it feel like a refrigerator.

In my forester, it feels a bit like being in a slow oven when the mercury kisses the top of the thermometer. (AC was never great in any subaru). Anyhow, maybe I'll spend the $$$ and get the windows done as it might help quite a bit.
In approx 3 years and I will be car shopping for myself ... something with leather, and maybe not a v8, but something with a lit better power to weight ratio than my 08 forester.

Is that the S-Class sedan or coupe? Man, the coupe is dead sexy... that's $140k worth of car though and that's the starting point. The AMG version is upward of $200k.

Thats the e-class, starts at 52k.

To be honest, I like most color schemes for an interior until you get to crazy piping colors and junk like that. I like dark brown leather, chestnut, ivory, black, umber, and even red in some cars. I don't really care for too much metal or carbon fiber trim. I like the interior to stay mostly with natural materials with a few accents of metals. Dark/black woods are probably my favorite.

Yeah, I don't really care for red interior and I've seen a number of Mercedes and some BMWs with red leather but I would absolutely not buy a car with red interior... it's just too bright, too busy. I prefer wood and leather trim to metal or carbon fiber. I also like the dark brown leather interiors I've seen on some cars.

Blue would be another interior color I would avoid.

Yes, bright red is not good. But a dark maroon type color is fine.

Sick to death of black interiors. Not to mention the heat the make. Paid a whole bunch extra for the High Country version of the Silverado. Love the Saddle leather interior (and cooled seats).

I have light interior and I like it. It looks classier. It does get dirty easier, but IMO it still looks better even when a little dirty than black does. If you get leather then it's not that hard to keep clean.

I live in the South, so anything but black is nice. Black gets extremely hot in the sun.

I'm looking at a car with a black leather interior. That'll be really hot but it's a nice car. Decisions deductions. I wish it had the Volvo light tan leather, or even chestnut brown.

Definitely prefer black, although some of the darker tan interiors look nice. Really don't like grey, it looks so cheap. Maybe I just have that impression because the first cars I had had grey interiors.

Tan is great; isn't too hot. My perfect truck would have military flat sand paint, and a beige interior. Disregarding my esoteric tastes, tan/beige hides dirt and dust much better than black.

Don't like. I've had them in the past and have slowly lost interest over the years. Not only is black/charcoal more functional, it also looks better to me now.

I do like a few interiors that have a darker brown (saddle) interior with the right color combinations.

It can be a little much of the flesh tones. Needs to be more of a beige, and/or broken up with other shades of brown. Don't want light upholstery on the dash because it casts a more noticeable reflection in the windshield.

I'm not big on tan interiors. I would say it's definitely a per-car basis. Black isn't much better in my opinion but it's the default choice. You can't really 'go wrong' with black. I don't particularly like it because it's plain, super common, and does it absolutely freaking hot. But, all leather gets ridiculously hot in hot regions.

I've been really digging more exotic colors like blue and red interiors. Although, it's hard to pull off. I think the S2000 does red well. I think the E9X BMW does red okay. It's kinda varied. I definitely do not approve having a red dash top or anything that will reflect too heavily in any of the glass. Have to go black then. I do not like my vision being impacted by the interior of the car.

But, can we all just at least agree that chrome doesn't belong in the interior of a chrome? Seriously. I hate chrome or anything that reflects light super strongly. Driving down the road and then I can't see anymore because so much chrome.

Tan is good if the materials are done right. It magnifies the brilliant and the ugly.
I am trying to avoid a black interior on my next car. It can hide the good qualities of good interior.

Edit: Updated photo. Pretty much exactly the same as my ES350. Only thing I would change is the Piano Black around the shifter and doors. Would prefer the wood trim but I'm OK with the black trim (obviously, I still bought it).
