It seems there are only a couple of ways and most of them are negative. I've been here for damn near a decade and I'd guess most people don't know who I am. If I wanted to become 'well known' what would I have to do?
1. Troll my boat.
2. Extremely high post count
3. Become a P&N warrior
4. Make ridiculous predictions like F5 Tornado hitting the United States sometime this year, many dead.
5. Have a theme thread, or something original I'm known for.
.... That's about it? 4 of those 5 things are negative. So basically, how do you become well known without being a douchenozzle?

I'd say it's a little bit of both... more, his willingness to engage with people trolling him, which in turn dramatically increases his post count.Your post count isn't the reason you're known here -- try #1 on his list.
No shit. The only people who post in there are the people looking for advice, mosh, six, and alky. And occasionally, me and nick1985.problem is all those threads now end up in L&R. Most sane people would rather rip of their own genitals than venture there.
