Just tried my standard green smoothie with kale spinach apple celery and some mixed berries and while it is smooth and creamier than my other blender it also came out foamier than I'd like. I found the mistake I'm making is adding this vanilla protein power which when blended on high causes the volume of my smoothies to double. Next time I think I'll add the protein powder last after blending the organics and only blend on the slowest speed as I just want the protein mixed in not whipped in.

Kale combined with natural fruit to sweeten it is absolutely delicious

Yup.

It is a learning process. For a while I kept putting too much liquid forgetting the kale releases a lot.

I have to admit it. This blender is very powerful. Even the foam that gets created after adding the protein powder it still is edible. On my old blender I would taste the seeds and some of the fibers from the organics. On the vitamix the particles are broken down very fine. Almost to the point where I can't detect any of the fibers. Very interesting.

Mmmm this is the best tomato basil soup I've ever made. I can't believe something this good came from a blender. Lol.

This time I added some flax seed mill and some hemp seeds to thicken it up a bit.

I assume the reason the soup is green is because I didn't roast the tomatoes?

Oh and note to self. Make sure you don't mistakenly use a scotch bonnet pepper instead of something a bit milder. I'm popping out with the sweats eating this soup right about now but it still is dam tasty

I actually like chia seeds best as a thickener. My wife makes an amazing tomato soup in there I will try to get the recipe.

I've been using chia seeds a lot more over the last year, never thought about using it in a soup! Yeah, share the recipe if you can find it!

Chia seeds are too expensive at my local brick and mortar. Will need to order a bag from Amazon this week. I love Chia seeds.

4 pound bags insanely cheap at CostCo B&M, they also have flaxseeds and quinoa.

The local smoothie place by me puts sherbert in some of their smoothies. I know its not healthy, but bananas, pineapples, coconut, strawberry and raspberry + sherbert makes for a DAMN good smoothie.

I absolutely hate yogurt, but I wonder if it would be edible masked in smoothie form.

It's funny because greens can add sweetness to a drink, which doesn't really make sense, but it works. Chard, kale, and especially collards can sweeten up a smoothie. I never understood why someone would constantly drink something like a banana-collards green shake, but they actually taste pretty dang good!

So here's my latest smoothie design: "The Hulk"

1 small or medium Avocado
2 tablespoons of Hemp Hearts (aka raw shelled hemp seeds)
8oz Vanilla rice milk
2 tablespoons of Granulated sugar
Big squirt of Vanilla extract
Ice (about double the amount of the rest of the ingredients)

Blend & add more milk as needed to make it drinkable. The goal is to make a sweet avocado smoothie that tastes almost like a vanilla milkshake. The sugar edges out the avocado flavor & brings out the sweetness of the avocado. You don't want to add so many hemp seeds that it starts to get that planty taste, either, so you'll kind of have to play with the ratios to adjust for how fresh your ingredients are & how it tastes to your palette. You can use whatever milk too - dairy, almond, whatever, and just add a bit more sugar & vanilla for the flavor.

I've been making this pretty much daily for the past week, totally hooked! I first tried it at a Vietnamese Pho restaurant, they had an Avocado Boba smoothie (with the little tapioca balls at the bottom) & it was actually really good. The first sip or two tastes like liquid avocado, but then the sugar flavor blends with it & it's really pretty tasty (if you like avocado). The hemp seeds are the non-THC kind; I like using them better than powdered hemp protein because they blend up better (not gritty) & can be used as a protein source, so you're getting protein, good fats, etc. from this smoothie. Plus it tastes great :awe:

Also, you because it tastes similar to a vanilla milkshake, you can turn it a Mint & Chip ice cream shake pretty easily. Just add some peppermint extract (just a tiny little drop) & some cocoa powder, or else throw in some (dark) chocolate chips & blend it up. I made that last night & it was pretty awesome!

Doesn't the law that requires you to have a lab test the calorie content for like $1,000's of dollars kill small businesses?

No. Because if you have anidea what the law says, small businesses that don't sell more than like 100,000 units of their product of a year or have less than 20 locations are not required to post nutrition data.

Unless of course, you make a specific health or nutrition claim.
