i own a computer support company while going to school full time...i suppose it is mainstream but the money is good....although i would never wish it as a full time job upon my worst enemy...dealing with complete retards and morons all day is one thing...but when its your own business it eats into your personal life...i'm on the fone alllll the time just answering stupid questions while posting or trying to school work...i suppose if you can keep it seperate it isnt too bad

check out www.rentacoder.com there is alllll kinds of stuff to do on there from typing stuff into word documents to making fully interactive websites...although a lot of the time you will get undersold by people from the middle-east :/

Seriously, I work (word of mouth) on peoples pc (upgrades, crashed systems, etc).
I also have 7 dogs and I have always clipped their hair (in the hot summers).
People liked the idea and look, and the dogs being much happier & cooler so (word of mouth) I clip dogs (long haired) on the side. I could run that as a business alone, but rather keep a it word of mouth service.

Just think of something you might like to do or already do and think if others might benefit from your talent.

I grade papers. I make $2k per semester for two semesters. The work is easy and the perks are good, too. I do maybe 1-2 hours per week average (including test grading). The professor buys lunch and dinner for the graders on test days, so about 5 times per semester. It's not a lot of money, but you'll laugh so hard on test grading days that you won't really care how much you're getting paid.

I would really like to know how to cash in on this $1k/month ebay thing. Hell, I'll take $300/month. What specifically do you purchase? Someone mentioned designer clothing, but I don't know of any warehouses around here that sell designer clothing samples. I live in Tucson, AZ, and it's a college town that only has something like 500,000 people. What are other wise purchases to make and attempt to resell? Do you have to relist an item several times? Do you set up auctions with no reserve or do you do a Buy It Now sort of auction?
