How do you jump high in CS?

I see players jump up boxes (wood ones and metal ones) and no matter how many times I try, I can jump high enough to get on the boxes? Why is that?

depends whick box and which map.....are you referring to bunny hopping??

You have to jump and crouch at the same time. It is the equivalent of jumping up and lifting your legs up while you are in the air.

Ok here's one that I don't know how to do... someone tell me how please.

And yes, I know how to duck jump...

In Dust, at the second bomb site (the one that's NOT near the CT spawn)... the Ts sometimes plants the bomb on top of the right boxes... I sometimes gets there in time to defuse... but can never jump there to do it... I jsut barely misses the top part and so I don't clear it... but others do it with ease... can someone tell me exactly which part of the box to jump from?

i am not 100% sure, but doubt they actually get up there to set the bomb, they just release it in mid-air so the bomb falls on top of the higher create. try looking up and defusing from the spot closest you could get to the thing.

Probably not answering the question, but T's can and do boost each other to set bombs (ie bomb T jump on another T to get up high)

ok, about the dust defusing thingy. that box, you have to jump from the area on the right of it, which is slightly higher. like i think you do a slightl run rup from there. and when you jump you crouch while in air.

ah! that spot i thought he was talking about the site1 (double gates) yeah there is an elevated corner to the right
