Vzn's pricing is in line with their competitors. Sprint's service may look a bit lower priced, but realize that their coverage absolutely blows outside of major cities and highways, and even then it's not the greatest. Same goes for T-Mobile, you're paying a bit less for a lot less service. ATT tries to keep themselves in line with Vzn, as they're the two biggest carriers, so matches them on most services, and the coverage is pretty much the same, bit different from place to place.
Want to complain some, come up to Canada and get service here. I'm paying $30/mth for 200 minutes, free m2m and n/w, NO long distance, NO roaming outside of my home area (Vancouver Island and lower mainland), plus I pay $10/mth for voicemail, 125 text messages, and number ID (as in I just see the number, not the full name, that costs more). Also they charge a $7 "access fee" just for the pleasure of having their service, in addition to all of the government fees/taxes. All in all I pay something like $55 a month for what would cost me under $30 in the states, possibly less. Oh, if I want data? I can get 500MB for like $200, but there's no unlimited, and won't be from what I can see.
