How do you make day-old Taco Bell taste better?

There's a bag with some regular tacos and a double decker sitting in my fridge right now, and I kind of want to eat them.

But day-old Taco Bell tastes like ant piss, and should only be consumed in an emergency (Yes, I've done it).

I was thinking of maybe scraping the beef on some grocery store shells I have, but those are like 6 months old.

Any ideas?

Nah, I'm too lazy right now.

But - I just remembered: I think I have some flour tortillas. That might work.

I was gonna say, nothing you can do with a hard taco shell. But if it's in a flour tortilla, heat it up in a pan on the stove. Brown both sides and it tastes a hell of a lot better than mushy microwaved Taco Bell. Also, add cheese. There's always room for more cheese.

I think that sounds good. I'm going to scrape the insides onto the flour tortillas, add some extra cheese, and heat them in the oven.

Don't be such a wuss. I've eaten week old Taco Bell that was left unrefrigerated. I tore off the moldy pieces and nuked it a little longer than normal. It tastes fine.

Last month I found a leftover Weinerschnitzel chili dog on the floor of my kitchen while cleaning up. I'm pretty sure it was no more than a week old. Looked and tasted fine as well.

We had a Taco Bell here once, I thought it was great as it was a change from Burgers, Pizza, and Poutine. It lasted a couple months then closed. I guess people here just like to stick to what they know. Turned into an Arby's. I was in there all the time, their burgers/sandwiches were awesome. That closed down too. Now that building is a place that sells oxygen tanks.

I can eat $20 in Taco Bell food. Have done it on more than one occasion.

This thread reminds me that I left a Taco Bell bean burrito with sour cream in the accessory building last night. It's cold and the building has no HVAC so it should be fine. I will be subscribing to this thread for tips on how to eat it when I get home tonight.

I also have 2 frozen premium Old El Paso burritos here at work.

I agree, and that's exactly why I specified that it was their "premium" version, but even that is only "premium" relative to their norm (what you describe). There is some story about some cook inspired by Mexican cuisine after a visit. These are huge, less processed (whole beans instead of bean sauce, for example) and still comparable more to a Taco Bell Grilled Stuffed burrito than some other "premium" burrito. I still have trouble finding the chicken in the beans, corn, and rice.

So much food fail in this thread. I'd rather drink lumpy greasy diarrhea than eat fresh or non-fresh taco bell.
