Either paper maps (atlas book or folding maps) or online maps printed out.

A co-worker, who excels in getting lost (even when he knows how to get to where he's going) got a GPS unit for Christmas. I'm waiting to see how long it takes him to get lost using the GPS!!

Google maps, scribbled onto a scrap piece of paper, as i don't put directions down until 2 minutes before I have to leave.

Google maps for directions, and if I get lost, one of my friends is usually online.

I use to use google maps and just follow the directions. After getting hooked on GPS devices, I basically need my Nuvi to hold my hand through each turn

I look up the routes on Google Maps to get the general idea and see where I'm going. We also have a GPS we use but it's more for fun since I've already looked up to see where we're going.

I am a "real man." I drive until I get to the place.

And yes, I do not ask for directions!

My car has built-in GPS that I'll use sometimes. I tend to just use it as an atlas rather than directions. Usually if something is close, I'll just go to google maps and kind of plan the trip out myself and just remember it. Of course this isn't helpful unless it's close because I'm a visual person so I tend to know paths better if I've seen the places on the route before.

Garmin Nuvi 350 is always there but for the most part I turn the audio off and use it more as a gage for how long until I arrive.

I mostly just look at the road signs and have a general idea of what direction I'm going and need to go.

did the same thing when i went to florida to see my brother

ive driven many places from memory that i have only been the pasenger for in the past, sometimes that worries people

i also give horrid directions because i never know the names of streets or anything like that i simply know where to turn

I used Mapquest up until a couple of years ago until it put me 10 miles away from a location I was looking for. So I switched to Google. Now I use my portable car nav.
