How do you PM with Dell or a similar company?

Sorry if this isn't on the right board. I figured since it had to do with all these Hot Deals...

Anyways, do I call Dell on the phone when I want to price match something, give them the info, and then they give me the PM price or how does that normally work. Basically, I'm interested in that TDK burner that is $149, but has the MIR also.

On top of this forum is a How Do I Thread. It is always locked on top so you can easily ask questions instead of filling the board up with questions. A lotta ppl get ticked off at that not realizing they can post an answer (and explanation) instead of bumping it up with their crap.

All companies have their own pricematching policies. They are usually explained in detail on their web sites. I have not heard that Dell does PM, but I may be wrong. I know that buy.com had one (limited to participating stores) with a web form to fill out and staples does it over the phone. It varies, so give them a call and find out exactly what needs to be done and be careful with shipping charges added onto the totals. Things like that offset the whole "hot deal" you might be getting.

You should probably edit this thread and title it "WRONG FORUM" or something so ppl won't crap in it anymore. Mistakes happen...hope this helps. OBVIOUSLY, you did not mean harm.

Each time you log into Anandtech's forums you should notice that the first 3 to 5 threads are '~xxxxxxxxxx~'. One of the xxxxxxxx matches your title almost exactly (change your third word in the title to 'I', and cut off the rest). Try posting this there, or just read the other posts there, for the answer to this question.

PM's with Staples.com are explicitly explain in fine detail.
