It's odd everyone here says THE PROPER WAY and what not and no one admits to pronouncing it ASS-EPT but I still hear it being used more than a few people.

Same with the whole ruff roof thing.

This isn't even like the "roof" question I asked last time where there's multiple pronounciations. There's only 1, and yet people pronounce this one incorrectly all the time. Same goes for "accelerate." I work with glues at work and we use accelerator to speed it up and it always irks me to hear "asselerator."

I have "axe" instead of "ask" even more...
