This is really a two-part question. First I had my friend over and I was showing him that I just installed Vista 64bit and told him that I was having trouble getting CoreTemp to run. I told him that I would right click on the .exe and go to properties, then compatibility, and then try to check the box for ?run this program as an administrator?, but it was grayed out. I told him that I?m the only user on the computer and I have my self set up to be administrator and I have turned off UAC. He told me he had the same problem and knew a fix for it. This is what he did under cmd: Net user administrator ?Password I chose? Net user administrator activate:yes This didn?t work, so my first question is what did he actually do with those two commands, and how do I change it back to normal.
My seconded question is how to get CoreTemp running under Vista64. I was reading the guide I have link below and followed its instructions, but when I try to go into the properties and check ?run this program as an administrator?, it?s always grayed out. How do I fix this? Thanks for the advice in advanced.
