[Peter and the Wolf intro music; old 60s style info movie]
Whismical 50s Narrator voice: "Today we're here in Breckenridge, CO with Fonzinator and his family. It's a beautiful day for spring skiing. Look at Fonzinator ski like a pro."
*Camera pans to Fonzinator skiing down a very steep hill.
Fonzinator (bright, cheery, rosy-cheeked voice): "Gee Mom, gee Dad! Isn't this fun?! Look at me go! WEEEE!!!"
[/intro music]
[tense music]
Narrator: "Fonzinator's legs are getting tired. He should have ended his day on the last run like a good little boy."
Fonzinator (in horror): "Oh no!!"
*Fonzinator crashes hard.
[/tense music]
Narrator: "That loud pop you just heard was Fonzinator's right ACL tearing in two."
*Camera on Fonzinator laying in snow holding knee. Mom and Dad are standing above looking down at him.
Fonzinator (sad, rosy-cheeked voice with frown on face): "Gee mom, gee Dad...this kinda hurts and my knee feels funny."
Dad (glancing towards Mom in a glum voice): "Well Fonzy, looks like skiing is over for you."
*Mom has arms folded, nodding head at Dad.
[skipping, happy, whistly music]
*Camera goes to 60's medical model of a knee with a technican in a lab coat pointing to the patellar tendon and ACL when the narrator says them.
Narrator (slight chuckle at intro): "That's right Dad. There'll be no more skiing for Fonzinator for quite some time. He'll have to undergo months and months of physical therapy. In addition, he'll have to have reconstructive surgery to replace his ACL. The doctor will remove the middle of his patellar tendon - that's the tendon that holds Fonzinator's kneecap in place - and use that to replace his torn ACL. This will certainly be intensely painful for little Fonzinator and will be the most painful thing he's ever experienced."
Narrator: "That's all for today boys and girls."
