I am looking for some ways to test stability on a friends up and coming computer that is likely to be an overclocked Celeron II or Pentium 3. I would be building the system for them and it has to be stable beyond any doubt. I would build her a Duron but some people are anti AMD and I am not going to argue with them when they just will not listen.
Anyway, for the most part, I use Prime95 and let it run for at least 48 hours on torture test. Once it passes that, I deem the CPU stable. I tried 3DMark2000 but it dumps me to the desktop at speeds I know are stable so I stopped using it. What is everyone here using to ensure the stailibty of their CPU?
