how does a ti4600 compare?

I've got a ti4600 with VIVO (which I use to save rally races recorded on VHS onto my computer), so I'm pretty reluctant to give it up. I was wondering how it compares to the latest slew of cards from NV and ATI. Anyone have a link that compares the new cards with some of the older ones? I'm hoping to find something with benchmarks on the ti4600, 5900, 9800 pro, etc.

Also, has anyone tried playing Far Cry with a ti4600? how badly does it choke above 1024x768?

BFG forgets to add....."at a resolution your monitor doesn't even support with 8x AA and AF"

Just check out the link that tenoc posted. For example, in quake 3 at 1024 x 768 without aa or af, the Radeon 9800 xt gets 203 fps, the 4600 gets 191 fps. In other non open gl games, the difference will be greater, but not 2-3 x by any stretch of the imagination, until you crank up the res and aa/af settings. Not bad for a, what, 3 year old card?

the only reason i would upgrade a ti4600 is if i am going to a 9700 pro/5900 or better

anything else would eb a waste of money

both the 9700 pro and 5900 are considerablly faster than the 4600 esp with AA/AF and DX9

My second gaming machine uses a ti4600. Farcry is very playable on it. Medium settings and 1024x768 res. 0aa, 0af.

Stick with the Ti4600, i've had mine since release and it's still goin strong. Its the card i've had longest in any of my systems

Farcry demo runs in 12x10 on my 4600 on medium settings, 10x7 on very high settings (better looking, imo) - no aa/af. It's a good card, but yes it's starting to show its age, just a bit. I'm probably going to hold onto mine until my next major upgrade in 1-2 years, although hl2, doom3, and Farcry have a good shot at speeding that up

Now THAT'S something I can definitely work with. I played both the far cry demos at 10x7 with medium settings and it was smooth...haven't tried anything higher yet, but i'm sure it'll still be great.
