Uhh-waaahhh! It's a joke, son, & it's funny because it's close to the truth.

When the truth hurts, rational folks re-evaluate.

Not a chance, right?

"What an obnoxious, thin-skinned, adolescent, insecure, smug, petty, and more than anything, evil little man."

I could suggest you could translate all that into one word. Neo-cons don't like it; it's a "card" that people don't overtly play. If humor makes people mad, it may eventually be effectual.

I've known a lot of human "turkeys" in my lifetime, and it's an appellation of mild derision that is fair enough for humor.

"American Thinker." There's a title bound to snag folks who are a bit short in thinking that they fall into such a category.

It's a remarkable bit of psychological projection, that's for sure.

I mean, Wow. Just Wow.

It affirms that racism is a minority sentiment. Too bad that minority isn't a lot smaller.

I have to say I am a proud racist. I doubt I'm in the minority though. I am proudly biased in favor of my race: the human race.

We need more racial profiling in this country. We should not allow certain races to board flights. I don't want to see snakes on a plane for example.

To answer OP's question: The traditional separation of powers and checks and balances in our system is way out of kilter-the GOP controls the legislature, the executive and large chunks of the judiciary. The most effective way you, as an individual, to reverse the downward spiral of our democracy is to take action yourself as an individual.

Go here: https://www.indivisibleguide.com/local-action-groups/ Find a group in your area that aligns with what you want to do, join and BE ACTIVE. Be a PIA to your senators, your congressional representative and local and state officials when need be. At least register in a party so when you communicate with your senator or rep they will know you can and will support an opponent to them in the next primary unless they shape up.

The Trumpistas love to call us snowflakes-well if there are enough snowflakes a blizzard is a powerful force.

Boycott battleground state products until they fix the mess they created for the country.

Whatever disasters happen under Trump will be ones people who did not vote of didn't vote for Clinton will richly deserve. That's the only up-side to his winning.

Weren't you dropping anti-Clinton stuff on this board for quite awhile, or am I remembering incorrectly?

I tried to warn Democrats there was a high probability she would lose to Trump and Sanders would win. Once that option passed there was no other rational choice. I guess I should modify my post to reflect the fact that Democrats that didn't vote Sanders also deserve Trump. I hate to be didactic about that, however, because while I am absolutely certain about that, you can always claim it's conjecture. After all, what is the conjecture of a person who knew Trump would win the moment he announced in the face of a cacophony of dismissive laughter.

Make use of the Skynet Timeportal to prevent DWS of the DNC from rigging the primary for Shillary....

Seriously though do what CA did with their democratic delegates.

Actually, I would modify that to say that Sanders supporters who didn't vote for Clinton deserve Trump because they did, after all, elect him. Given how narrow the margins were in those 3 swing states, there is no doubt that Clinton would have won had about 20% of Sanders supporters not declined to vote for Clinton. We heard a lot from Sanders supporters about Clinton, much it of oddly similar to what we heard from Trump supporters on the right and from fake news seeded by Russia. Clinton was slandered in this election cycle to an extent unprecedented in American political history and some of it came from the left.

Those who trashed Clinton in this election cycle have handed this country over to a maniac and for them I have no sympathy. RIP democracy.

Ripping apart at the seams is any worse than selling out abroad in the name of neoliberalism how exactly?

The part I don't understand is why you think Bernie could have sold himself to Trumpsters when he couldn't even do it with Dems.

What we've seen with the Trump campaign is a whole different level of induced mass delusion, an astounding & cruel exploitation of what you've called CBD, the unexpected culmination of decades of Repubs insincerely doing the same thing to a lesser extent. They've been crazifying their base & a fair % of the population since at least 1994.

I just hope that Trump never finds a great song writer-

Many of Bernie's supporters were concern trolled mercilessly & successfully. How many such posters trolled thru this obscure forum & social media only to disappear into the wind?

Seems most Sanders fans ended up voting for Clinton anyway. The major demographic shift was in lower edu white males, and they probably wouldn't have taken well to constant reminders of just how "socialist" he is, or various allegations about his wife and so on.

People very sure that Sanders would've won should keep in mind that Clinton has her own base of predominantly older female democrats, who could've also stayed home had yet another man "stolen" the nomination from their candidate.
