I don't think they have a very large police force, yet Gary is constantly fighting Detroit for the highest crime rate. It's entirely possible that they:
-did contact them and nothing happened
-didn't think they could help
-don't trust police (regardless of reason)

damn...I was born in Gary but we left before the shit really hit the fan when the steel industry went down the crapper in the mid 70's....

drove by the house we grew up in last year and it is still there...It is actually in decent shape but the neighborhood has gone to total shit...A house down the block that where all of the walls were burnt down but the beams that held up the roof were still in tact so the roof was still up but you could see right through where the walls should have been. The windows in my old elementary school (Aetna Elementary) were all boarded up but it still lkinda ook liked the school was still being used...

I don't know why I come into these types of threads. People like these parents need to be tortured and killed. I honestly think our justice system is to civil sometimes. I don't even know these people but I would have absolutely no problem beating the living $hit out of them if given the chance. I'm sure people like that would act like little b!tches when someone actually hurts them...but all their pleading and whining for me to stop would not stop me.
