You could also call the company on monday....they usually will approve an RMA number right then and there...and some companies will cross ship.

I would send in the rebate form now, and contact ocz for an rma on the defective stick. You'll still have to pay shipping, I've just always had better success dealing directly with manufacturers versus the retailer. Run the system with the good stick in the meantime.

I have my old memory. So, not having these working for another week or two is not going to be a problem.

I have already contacted the manufacturer and opened a support ticket.

A review on newegg states a defective stick. His complaint is that he had to pay for shipping back to OCZ.
It may be that there are many failures on this memory and that may be why newegg has them on sale.

On Monday, I will call newegg and explain everything to see if they can make any suggestions.
I will also call OCZ.

If I send in the rebate, I will have to cut the UPC bar code. Then, I will not be able to RMA to newegg. That is only going to reduce my options! So, I am not going to do that yet. I still have another week for sending the rebate.
