How does one choose who to ignore and when?

I preface this with I don't talk a lot. I don't just say random things. I speak with a goal or point in mind. If what I was saying were purposeless then I would understand being ignored. Also, I keep in mind who I'm talking to and try to make sure it's relevant to the person I'm talking to, otherwise I'd be talking to someone else.

I have a thing about responding to people, whether it be phone calls, email, texts or just someone passing and saying hey. I can't not respond. I get irritated/offended when people don't respond to me. I feel it's just rude. I'm ok with someone saying, "Hey, I don't want to talk to you", "Later" or any response. Hell a grunt would be better than nothing.

On sort of a different note of the same point. I get the same way with Facebook. I'm not one of those people who have hundreds of friends, I have about 60 and I have regular contact with all of them but two. I just don't get when people miss posts. I don't go through everyone's profile daily, I just scan my news feed a couple times a day, read what I find interesting, make any comments I may have and move on. Are my friends just retarded and can't consume that much info at once?

Back on topic, so does anyone else have this same issue? Am I just being narcissistic or feeling overly self-important? Is it not ridiculously rude to just blatantly ignore someone?

I have to admit, I'm more partial to cake...just for the mere fact that I don't like any pie that has fruit in it. Including the ninth world wonder that is otherwise known as apple pie. I must be the only American that does not like Apple pie.

Fruit, for me, can not be warm or hot. I have to have cold, fresh, raw fruit. It's something I have never been able to get past. I have tried apple pie, peach pie (and cobbler), cherry pie, blueberry pie and others several times in my adulthood and I do not enjoy it no matter how hard I try.

A pie for me has to be chocolate, coconut, butterscotch...or some type of creamy type of pie. And I love these types of pie.

So for that simple reason alone, I have to go with cake.


Ahhh, now that I think of it, bananas are, for some reason, excluded from my strange fruit obsession. I love banana cream pie, and banana bread. Perhaps this is because bananas already have a "mushy" texture to them.

Yea I feel the same way about pie the only fruit pie I like is blackberry.
