13 Dell Lattitudes, currently 24/7, no problems. ~15 Gateways some 24/7, some not, they run hot but OK. Of course they ran hot even without RC5.
If you are concerned about heat, there is an option you can turn on in the client config that will pause the client if a temperature threshhold is met. Here is what my DNETC.INI file looks like for the laptop settings:
[triggers]
restart-on-config-file-change=yes
pause-on-no-mains-power=yes
pause-on-high-cpu-temp=yes
cpu-temperature-thresholds=115F
It is set to pause on battery power, and if the monitored temp of the laptop hits 115F, the client will pause until the temp falls below 80% of the 115F. This is configurable, and you can use Celcius too. Start up the client config and look for these options, select them, and there is a note on how to use the option, and the parms.
So far, I haven't found any of them pausing because of the temp threshhold.
