how does the voodoo 5500 run in windows xp

As long as you find good drivers for it, the V5 is still a very formidable card. I have one in WinXP myself, i forget which drivers i'm using but i'm sure a quick serach in the Video forum here can lead you in the right direction. The key is to find a set that still supports OpenGL, FSAA, and all the goodies. Personally i kept searching till i could use 3dfx tools again.

As long as you use appropriate third party drivers the V5 you shouldnt experience any major problems.
The 3dfx drivers were always extremely reliable and robust, so th third party developers have had a pretty good base upon which to expand when making the WinXP drivers.

The WinXP drivers arent 100% but their pretty close to it, and all features are fully functional and it performs as it should.

Try 3dfx UnderGround for 3dfx drivers for XP
